I build things where software meets money, and I write about what I learn doing it. Lately that means AI agents, the systems they act on, and who gets seen by the models we’re all building.

Based in London. I started shipping at 18, co-founded a payments company at 19 that was acquired by Stripe’s Paystack, and I’ve been building ever since, mostly in Solidity, Rust, and TypeScript. I’m a Paradigm Fellow and an Interact Fellow. Not always successfully. That part is in the writing too.

Building at Metastable Labs (Coinbase-backed) and thinking a lot about two things: how autonomous agents should act on people’s behalf when money is involved, and why AI models understand some parts of the world so much better than others. More soon.

    Founder · Metastable Labs coinbase-backed

I founded Metastable to build DeFi market infrastructure. I set product strategy and lead engineering. What we have shipped:

    Ultramarkets live · audited

Margin trading for prediction markets. I had a thesis that prediction markets were missing leverage, so I designed the mechanism, wrote the contracts, and shipped to Polygon mainnet. Liquidity providers deposit USDC into a vault and hold appreciating shares, while an upgradeable position manager runs the whole position lifecycle: margin, settlement math, and profit distribution.

    Liquid agents + protocol

Agents that route people to yield automatically, and the protocol they execute against. I built both, because an agent is only as safe as the world you give it. Multi-step strategies run atomically through standardised connectors, including Morpho and Moonwell, across Base, Optimism, Scroll, and Mode.

    Supermigrate superchain infra

L2 migration infrastructure. It automates deployment of canonical bridged ERC20s to the Superchain, with L1 to L2 bridging and liquidity incentives for migrated tokens, turning a manual, technical-team-only job into something anyone can run.

    PolyClaw agents · polymarket

Autonomous agents that trade on Polymarket, reading markets through the CLOB and Gamma APIs and executing on their own. An experiment in letting agents move real money without a human in the loop.

Consumer Payments Lead · Paystack (Stripe) via lazerpay acqui-hire

I led products at Paystack’s new business division inside Stripe.

    Zap shipped inside stripe

Paystack’s first consumer product: a bank transfer app for everyday spending in Nigeria, built on Paystack’s rails with a wallet, bank linking, Apple Pay, and tiered KYC. I owned it from zero to launch. Consumer payments taught me that every ambiguous loading spinner is someone wondering where their money went.

    Co-founder & CEO · Lazerpay

I co-founded Lazerpay at 19, one of the first stablecoin payments platforms in Africa. Merchants accepted payments from anywhere and settled in local currency. We reached 3,000+ merchants and raised over $1m before Paystack acquired us. I owned product and architecture end to end: settlement contracts, multi-chain rails, APIs and SDKs. Losing it and landing it are both stories I’ve written about.

    Integrations Engineer · MakerDAO

One of the youngest engineers on the team. I contributed to the auction-keeper, the bot framework that monitors Maker vaults and bids in collateral auctions, the operational layer under Maker’s liquidations. I also worked on real world assets and protocol integrations.

  • 2019 – 2021

Engineering & Product Lead · Xend Finance

At 18, I led engineering, product, and strategy at a Google and Binance backed DeFi credit union serving savers across Africa and Asia. It passed $100m in TVL and set the direction for everything after. The contracts I worked on passed third-party audits.

    Game Developer · Quiva Games

Where I started. First person shooters in Unreal Engine and C++. Building games is how I learned to build software.

  • Kakushi privacy

Private execution zones anchored to public chains. Canonical assets stay in host-chain custody while balances and transactions execute in a private EVM zone visible only to their owner and the operator. I wrote the spec and the full Solidity system: a permissioned zone factory, per-zone custody with deposit hash chains, CREATE2 forwarders for ordinary-wallet deposits, and a proof-gated batch withdrawal queue. The launch case is private B2B settlement, like bank-operated USDC zones.

  • Descent the naira, onchain

One of the first protocols to bring an emerging-market currency onchain: an overcollateralised CDP protocol issuing xNGN, a Naira stablecoin, for markets where borrowing costs more than 80% a year. I designed and built the lending engine in Solidity, from vault accounting to oracle feeds for exotic FX pairs to per-second rate accrual, with per-collateral liquidation thresholds and debt ceilings. Some problems are personal.

  • Contributed PrivyEvmEmbeddedWalletProvider, a wallet provider that lets autonomous agents transact with delegated Privy embedded wallets. Merged, with tests and docs.

  • Instadapp dsa connectors

Wrote a Matcha (0x) swap connector for the DSA connectors framework, iterated through core-team review.

Before any of this, I was a gamer. Campaign and war games mostly, and enough of them that I wanted to build my own, so I started out as a game developer writing first person shooters in Unreal Engine and C++. That is how I found software. These days it is football most weeks, a year straight now, enough that I keep joking about going pro in Saudi. I cook. I have always loved maths, the kind you can turn into a mechanism. I’m slowly learning French, for reasons that are also personal. If you want to talk about agents, payments, markets, or the parts of the world the models can’t see yet, my inbox is open: nj@njokuscript.com
